You took home a match,
collected the thick, breathing
dreamy static between us.
Lit alight and watch.I wanted to fill myself with you.
Looking back on that November,
where the weight of you forced,
my bones to bend and moan,
I could have been anything if you wanted,
A wrist, a crow, a cinnamon tree. I could
have been unhappy. Then, I wanted to drink you through a straw,
massage your tendons into the strange
state we call sleep and clench
the nape of your neck until I
slipped into your skin.
